GENERAL PRACTITIONER


Susan graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2000 with first class honours. She subsequently did her internship and residency through John Hunter Hospital, Westmead Hospital and the Children’s Hospital. Following this, she undertook GP training and was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2006, obtaining the highest overall mark in Australia for the Fellowship exam. She has also undertaken additional training in Children’s health, Women’s health, Sexual and Reproductive health, Occupational medicine and Travel medicine.


In 2006, Susan relocated to London where she worked in various organisations including a highly regarded private practice as well as a Christian medical charity which looked after mission and aid workers around the world. Susan feels that the experience of living abroad has served to make her a more empathic and well-rounded GP. She has been at Norwest General Practice since 2014.


She is also involved in mentoring, writing exam questions and examining, through the RACGP.


Susan has wanted to be a GP since her GP placement as a medical student and considers it an immense privilege to be a involved in people’s lives and to work with them towards better health outcomes.


Susan is a committed Christian and attends Christ Church St Ives with her family. She also enjoys sunshine, hot weather, baking cakes and running.
